Buying In SpainLocation Location Location
Location is very important Minimize

There are quite simply 4 main locations!

Coastal

Being an extremely popular location mainly for holiday homes first and foremost because of the close proximity to the beach, usually walking distance and very close to banking facilities, transport links, shops, bars, and restaurants. A recipe for a well earned break without too much chasing about and everything at hand. A Fantastic location for the holiday maker to purchase their holiday home with the added opportunity to tap into the rental market. Why not earn an income from your investment as well as enjoying it for yourself? Traditionally the land closest to the sea is the most expensive! Therefore per square meter you get less for your money, but with everything required for a successful holiday within walking distance - it's a very popular choice.

Spanish village

Ideal for those who want to interact with Spanish village life! But still be close enough to the coast to visit it regularly this location can be situated approximately 20 minutes from the coast. Rather than the more expensive coastal restaurants theTappas bars are an absolute must for a day time menu - reasonably priced at around 7 to 10 euros for a three course meal including wine!  An opportunity to practice your Spanish conversation, meet new friends in the church square and follow tradition with an afternoon siesta! Property here is normally reasonably priced; offering a traditional town house or apartment accommodation such as is usually favored by the Spanish residents. The semi-rural surroundings of orange and lemon groves with the mountain backdrop provide the perfect anti-stress relaxing location.

Golf

Here in the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida the regions offer the most up and coming, challenging golf facilities in Spain! Some say the region of Murcia will be the "New" golfing location to be here in Spain, hosting at least 20 new courses, providing a vast choice of pay and play opportunities. Golf clubs here are open to the public and provide friendly, relaxed and a very social atmosphere, society days are in abundance, as are society clubs, therefore making new golf partners extremely easy to find, and if you join the societies new friends can be made. Apart from unlimited golf the location offers a variety of amenities which include club houses, community pools, hotel accommodation (normally with sports and beauty facilities), shops, bars and restaurants. There are International schools for those who choose this location for permanent living, in fact there are international schools in reasonable travelling distance from all the locations. The choice of property is unlimited but varies from course to course; frontline location is generally the most expensive because of the un-interrupted views across the fairways.

Inland

Once again, as with the Spanish villages, this location gives its newcomers every chance to lead a more Spanish life here and often offers the traditional Fincas. It is an option chosen in the main for permanent living and it does also offer the chance of town living with properties such as apartments or town houses.  A Finca is a country house and with a Finca you normally get a plot of land as well as your own pool or at least the option for room for one. Being inland you often do get more for your money depending on location of course, sometimes on commuting distances, a situation which sometimes attracts families relocating, retirees or city workers wanting a retreat. You have all the facilities you need in many inland towns nowadays; you just need to do your homework to pick the best place with the amenities that suit your own individual needs. Inland properties are becoming more popular for people who had originally chosen a coastal location for their holiday home and now want to move to a more Spanish way of life too. Something for everyone here, but please note any location that you choose for permanent living must be thought about seriously and on an individual basis.
