I visit Barcelona regularly, and to speed up my various visits, I am considering either buying a second-hand scooter, or borrowing one from a friend in the business.

What paperwork do I need from the seller, and what do I need to get myself (Tax, MoT equivalent, insurance etc).

Also, I have been told told that insurance is for the scooter, not the rider, so if I borrow a friend's, I am covered on the insurance already in force.[bold] IS THIS TRUE?[/bold]
