You have to be 18 to obtain a driving licence in Spain but can take lessons before this date in order to obtain your licence on your 18th birthday. To help with learning to drive there is a book written in English but printed and published in Spain - it is by Etrasa and is called learning to drive the ISBN number is 8496105032 and costs around 30 euros.

Only registered instructors in dual controlled cars are allowed to teach legally and you can see questions for the test in Spanish at http://www.dgt.es/revista/test/index.html

we found it cheaper to send our son bk to the uk, as in spain u have to pay for 3 tests at a time, usually everyone fails the first 3(on purpose) so then you have to pay for a further 3, then they pass you on the 4th or 5th, but you dont get a refund on not taken tests.
also the lessons are a fortune here aswell.ive been in spain 11yrs and know many spaniards what have done their test and its the same everytime.took my lad 2 tests in the uk.
