Driving laws; 18yr old girl about to pass her test

hi,
I am moving over in a few months and my daughter is currently taking driving lessons. I have some questions that I need answering.

1. Would she be allowed to drive in Spain as soon as she passes her test in the UK? (I think I know the answer to that but need to confirm)

2. Would she be better off waiting untill she is in spain, take a few lessons driving on the right and pass her test in Spain?

3. Is car Insurance as much of a rip off as they are in the UK?

Thank you in advance for any replies

JD

Re: Driving laws; 18yr old girl about to pass her test

Hi Welcome to htis forum

I have a 19 year old son who took his test in the uk drove here as soon as he passed and we felt if he ended up going to uk in the end then maybe he would be better prepared to drive there if he learnt there.

Yes insurance is expensive but again we shopped around and ended up with a decent price with a company called allianze, he is not allowed to drive between 1 and 7 in the morning though and he is not allowed to drink even one!

The test is quite hard here and so if not fluent in the language even harder.

By the way both my parents wrote books on driving and teaching people to drive!

Good luck
