There are a number of Private health plans here in Spain, and remember that most of them are in Spanish, BUPA do one and offer you an English speaking Doctor to boot,  anyway the public health care is very good and with hardly any waiting lists.  I have had treatment under this system and found that It was better than the care I got back in the UK.
