A few months ago, I found myself being threatened by somebody and they also caused some substancial criminal damage. I made a statement to the police and then was called to submit evidence. In this time, the person in question has moved back to the United Kingdom. He is also wanted in connection with several other offences. He has been traced in the UK. How would I now be able to press changes against this person?

How very unfortunate and no doubt very frustrating for you slakes99. Because Spain is part of the EU the Spanish Police should automatically have the right for the perpetrator to be taken back to stand trial. I think in this instance it would depend on the severity of the charge, but if they felt that they couldn't be bothered then I imagine that would be the end of the matter, although the Police would of course keep records. You can always contact a lawyer in Spain who would be able to answer your question. I would also be intrested to know exactly what the correct procedure is, regarding the position you find yourself in! I hope the outcome is successful for you.
