Hi myself and my husband have decided to move next year to spain. It is something we both have wanted to do for a long time. We bought an apartment Costa Blanca about 5 years ago. We have 3 children 13 , 6 ,and 18 months. Its the schooling that is worrying us the most.. I have been reading about international schools which we think would be a good idea for the two older ones. I'm sure that in a couple of years time that the baby would be fine to start at state school. We will , to start off with be located in Punta Prima area and would like advice on international and state schools in the area. As we are from Ireland our schooling is different from the UK . Our 13 year old is due to sit his junior cert exam next June ( it would be after this that we are thinking of moving ) and what is the equivalant of this in international schools. Also does anyone think that a 6 year old ( she will be 8 by the time we move ) would be capable of going to state school. I myself take spanish lessons.....only started !! and am keen to get the 6 year old started as the 13 does spanish in school...I have so many questions buzzing around in my head but the children and their education have to come first...........
