I have just started a Research Project at Roehampton University looking at child friendliness; child centredness in Spain and England. The research will focus on the Murcia region of Spain and a locality in England (possibly Sussex) to enable me to investigate attitudes to children (particularly young children) in the two countries. I am particularly interested if child friendliness of child centredness transfers into formal settings i.e. preschools, nurseries etc. At this stage I would be very grateful for any views from those of you who have an opinion on this topic particularly if you could compare your experience of living in England with living in Spain.
