There is lots of advice on the website itself if you look under the different headings but basically the better you speak the language to easier it will be to do. If you wanted to teach English then I personally think that many expats would be interested, that is if they could afford it ( lots of people come here and dont realsize how mch it costs to set up home here and therefor funds diminish pretty rapidly but for example my two youngest have English lessons once a week because I feel its very important they never forget and also they need to learn how to use their own language as well as Spanish!They do fall down on English if they dont have some extra tuition and also there are Spanish families that like to have English lessons too.

The wages are poorer than in the UK but relative to the cost of living.

Many people come out here and start to build as their profession even when it isnt and work is sometimes hard to come by as competition is then very strong.

Renting is a good idea and there are lots of places to rent. It is an expensive business to buy out here unless you are sure as the taxes inviolved with buying are so high!

I have some rentals on the site but if you want walking distance to shops and towns in this sort of area then you will be looking at apartments or at least town houses and not fincas in the country.

Just depends where you want to be and to know this you need to visit several times at different times of the year to see if you are suited!
