1) Unfortunately, our original NIE documents have been "lost" by our previous solicitor. How can I obtain a new document that can be considered as the original? This was requested when I tried to apply for my residencia.

2) Once I receive these documents, I need to obtain our residencia for myself and the children. The mother is no longer with us. Last time I asked, they requested the mothers signature also but it is very difficult to get her to sign anything. Will I have to wait until custody/residency of the children is decided in court before I can apply for them?
