All those Europeans who have property in Spain must have a Will to state their last wishes and also which legislation they want applied e.g. British legislation to be applicable.
Example:
If a British person dies without expressing the wish for British legislation to be used on the Will to dispose of his or her estate then it will be Spanish legislation which will be enforced. For those with children and without the clause written in this would mean that their off-spring will acquire a share of the estate along with the living partner.
Therefore, you need to have your Wills reissued within the next 6 months
